Ben Platt

Ben Platt is an American actor and singer born in 1993. He is the son of film and theater producer Marc Platt and philanthropist Julie Platt. Platt's career in the entertainment industry began at a young age, with early roles in musical theater productions such as The Sound of Music in 2006 and The Book of Mormon from 2012 to 2015. His breakout role came when he originated the title character in the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, which he played from 2015 to 2017.

Platt's performance in Dear Evan Hansen earned him numerous awards and nominations, including a Tony Award, a Daytime Emmy, and a Grammy Award. He reprised the role of Evan Hansen in the 2021 film adaptation of the musical. In 2023, Platt portrayed Leo Frank in the Broadway revival of Parade, receiving nominations for a Tony and a Grammy Award for his performance.
